I have a real problem with this. I will sit looking at the damn things all morning until Mrs T bullies me into taking them.

Do you have any tips to make the process easier ?

I found eating an apple throughout the process helped but I am sick of apples now.

Yes. I have a glass of something to wash them down. Would be impossible without.

Can you cut them in half? I do with many.
