Take One Tylenol and One Ibuprofen?

Never had any so I don't know.
He's right taking them together or even same day can cause severe bleeding. Also if you have to take proton pump inhibitor just about the only one that doesn't reduce the effects of blood thinners is pantoprazole.

I have RA, thankfully I did not start showing signs until about 40, and something I didn't know, that not all people who suffer arthritis have severe swelling in joints. I have only one finger (right pinkie) that is bent quite a bit and the first knuckle is almost useless.
Anyway - it is also in both my knees, right is worse, and my upper back shoulders.
I do not know what a day without pain is anymore. Everyday I hurt.
I do not take any arthritis pills, imo, unless you are severely arthritic, they do more harm than good. They deplete your immune system which is a very bad thing in many-many ways.
So I just deal with it. You learn ways to avoid hurting as much, and how to deal with periods when it flares up. Rarely do I take any pain alleviator to deal with it.

Is aspirin as hard on your kidneys/liver?

Oh yeah, I'm on a few meds and one that should help soon. I always have to watch what I eat....more and more foods on my "do not attempt" list. And some of my faves too....oh well

I have a growing list of those due to GERD. There are at least a few I can still eat

I use to have full blown migraines, and about 5-6 times a year a grand-mal migraine that puts you in the emergency room. The kind where you vomit, diarrhea - full hell on earth.
Finally I managed to get a doctor that he, himself, also suffered them. Changed my life.
One of those things - is taking TWO Tylenol's and TWO ibuprofens at the same time.
It is NOT good for your liver or kidneys. But doing so only on occasion, your body can certainly handle it.
It works very well. And can mitigate even bad migraines, especially if taken early on.
The second biggest lifesaver was to eat something with very high fat, but not a lot of sugar. I use to eat a double whopper when I felt a migraine coming. And - it would simply vanish and I wouldn't get the headache at all.
That’s interesting because I too experienced migraines from Hell. At university in the early 80s, I was inflicted with a horrific episodic migraine, I had never experienced prior. I was completely incapacitated mentally and physically, with my head exploding and retching. The so called doctors and nurses assumed I was on drugs, and left me to suffer for hours on a gurney. I suffered this exact same experience several more times before I figured out how to prevent it.

I’ve found I have to religiously wear sunglasses on bright sunny days. Sharp light can trigger my migraines. Also not eating enough, at least when I was younger.

I’ve had several spinal taps, because the asshole doctors and nurses thought I might have meningitis.

Once the episode advanced to full-blown, I would lose my mind. I didn’t know my name, DOB, where I was, etc. A Nazi-like nurse gave me a rectal thermometer, because I was so profane and loud.

I know the beginning signs. I’d see auras, lights flashing, and lose my peripheral vision. I usually can prevent it from progressing by laying down in a dark room. Sometimes taking 4 Ibuprofen.

I do my best to stay away from doctors and hospitals. They will kill you.

I started taking Atenolol for HBP and PACs - and that was the end of the headaches. In fact you may get a doctor to prescribe you low dose Atenolol. It is particularly effective against "episodic migraines" which sounds like yours.
