Democratic congressional aides expressed skepticism about the briefing, saying the agenda for the session is unclear, though at this point, all of the Democratic leaders plan to attend. One aide, who was not authorized to speak publicly, said the invitation "appears to be more of a White House stunt" than a "serious attempt to have a discussion."

The last meeting between Democratic leaders and Mr. Trump occurred three weeks ago.

Pelosi and Schumer unveiled the outline of their bill to end the partial government shutdown when Democrats take control of the House. But the bill includes only $1.3 billion for border security, far short of Mr. Trump's request of $5 billion. The White House said Monday he will reject it.


So, Trump wanted to strong arm the Dems, into giving Trump $$$ that Mexico was supposed to write a check for?

Miles Taylor was on TV yesterday saying that the point of these travel bans is "leverage". Now these countries have to go hat in hand to Trump and make a deal so their people can travel to the USA.

How does this help the American people???? What's in this for YOU? I don't see Trump doing anything for YOU. Everything is for him and his rich buddies.

No poor people are being deprived of food stamps, just the gamers laying around on their fat asses who are able to work will have to chip in to cover their entitlement.
