Apparently, Trump has reached a trade agreement with China. The deal, which is yet to be finalized, has China keeping a 10% tariff on US goods and 55% on Chinese goods.

What I find interesting is the allowance for Chinese students.

According to MAGAs, I thought these Chinese students were subversives and should not be allowed at US educational institutions.

But, I guess they are not that bad after all.

The deal reached seems to go back to the status quo, except for a 30% increase in the current Chinese tariff rate.

Did TACO Don strike again?

But that is not why I have referred to Trump as TACO Don.

It has to do with allowing all the Chinese students to once again studying at US colleges and universities. I thought these Chinese students were subversives and should not be allowed at US educational institutions.

But guess they are not that bad after all.

You progressives have gotten so used to getting everything you want and calling it a "compromise" that you can't actually recognize actual compromise.

I don't know why this trade deal is not a win for China.

China goes back to selling us rare earth minerals that will result in US becoming complacent again.

The tariff increase isn't all that much from where it is now. The tariff level is already about 25% and will go up to 55%. An approximately 30% increase that the American consumers will pay for anyway and will do nothing to bring back manufacturing to the States.

And most of all, Chinese students will be allowed back into our universities and colleges to steal our technology...until those universities and colleges go into the crapper because of the Trump Administration's war on education.
