I personally believe that the child was a whole lot smarter than the man. He was lucky that this ended as well as it did.

Even smiling at children you don't know can get you weird looks from people as a man.

How would we know that the man wasn't trying to poison or drug and later molest and or rape him? Didn't your parents ever teach you not to receive candy from strangers?

good lord do you people just live in fear? i had a normal childhood....i was kidnapped by a caregiver at 2 ish...not stranger danger but someone who had cared for me since birth...i had guns...dogs and wild friends....i could never live in the paranoid state that yall live in.....is it chity people or what....i live in a rural area....kids go to a school with 125 students....k to 5

still do door to door trick or treating....give out that candy and all...you know you can check out local sex offenders on the state registries instead of going around thinking everyone is a sex offender perhaps invest a little time in finding out who the true offenders are

To me, the candy should've been given to whoever was in charge of the kid. Of course, then there wouldn't be as much of a story.
