I see a lot of sides...most of them getting little to no traction.
I take that you have no hope for reconciliation?

I do...but before it can happen, people have to dis-invest in 'winning' and 'losing'....and invest in pragmatic compromise.

Like a narrative that you have promoted regarding how Trump promotes violence....all the while calling Trump the end of democracy.

Trump does not 'promote' violence..pretty sure I've never said so.
Trump does empower people to whom violence is a viable solution..indeed, for some, it's the go-to solution.
Trump did not make this guy kill...but he fed the beast that did....just to whore for attention and votes.
I've never came close to calling Trump the end of anything..except maybe good taste.

I think our country is strong enough to survive Trump...it's the fringe elements..of both sides, that pose the existential threat.
If we engage in a cultural/racial civil war..it will be the end of this country.
Many on the left have already called it--they feel that true racial and economic justice can NEVER spring from our current polity.
I think they're wrong--but the jury is still very much out.

I recognize nuance, and I also recognize that both sides are not even close to similar. I don't see compromising with racists.
