And that is a crime against all transgender youth and their families. I hope the state is sued when these transgender youth start committing suicide. The state has left them out in the cold. It is not in the best interest of any state to do these to any of their people ,especially ones so vulnerable as these are. Everybody knows family knows best. State run things are generally pitiful.

Whatever the views on transexuals, people have been conditioned to accept it. I believe people should not be messed with. I also believe there is a place for different ways of living. The power of suggestion and promoting a way can influence people who are not sure of anyway of living. The law of probabilities would say that having 3 kids that are gay is not the norm. Same with transexuals. And there are families who have that. So, something else is involved.

Suicide among transgenders is a complex issue. Driven by a variety of factors related to minority stress and discrimination rather than the transgender identity itself. Discrimination and stigma , rejection , lack of gender affirming care , violence and victimization , All these things lead to an increased susceptibility to mental illness , in addition to depression and substance abuse which are things that further increase the suicide risk.
