Supreme Court Lifts Limits on Immigration-Enforcement Tactics in Los Angeles (for now at least)

We are a democratic republic also,
Nope. We make limited use of democracy to create our legislature. But we even further install a variety of safeguards there in the form of checks and balances. A majority of legislators agreeing to pass a particular law can’t do so unless that law is consistent with the Constitution.
which is a form of democracy.
It might be. But it’s not what we have.
And racial profiling is not legal.
Nobody says it is — and that’s NOT AT ALL what SCOTUS just allowed to stand as ICE policy (and it wasn’t ICE policy to begin with) even while they consider the decision below.

Did Newsom drink a cup of STFU?

I am curious why leftist run cities have DUI checkpoints aka Stasi police, but leftists aren’t protesting.

We have this...

and this...

What has happened is that:
quotes:
The Supreme Court on Monday lifted a federal judge’s order prohibiting government agents from making indiscriminate immigration-related stops in the Los Angeles area that challengers called “blatant racial profiling.”

The court’s brief order was unsigned and gave no reasons. It is not the last word in the case, which is pending before a federal appeals court and may again reach the justices.
