The Supreme Court will allow Texas to use a congressional map that adds as many as five Republican seats for next year’s midterm elections, boosting the GOP’s chances of retaining control of the House of Representatives.

The justices on Thursday set aside a lower court decision that had blocked the new electoral lines. The lower court found that the new map was an unconstitutional racial gerrymander, but the Supreme Court said that decision appeared to be wrong.

The court’s three liberal justices dissented, with Justice Elena Kagan accusing the majority of improperly substituting its own judgment for the lower court’s factual findings.

Really? I've listened to several experts on the matter and apparently, Texas is perfectly within the law, in fact, this is exactly the time when Texas state law mandates such changes to occur.

Meanwhile, it is NOT for California. Gavin Newsom just tried to do the very same thing despite the fact that they have already long gerrymandered the state and have already robbed many Ca republicans from being represented and wanted to do MORE of it despite its dubious efficacy!

So illegal in fact that Newsom had to propose the idea via a special election proposal to get the voters permission, and as usual, the state of California LIED to the voters who mostly really don't understand what is really going on in politics and state law.
