Supreme Court decision probably means jail time for me

Will we now have to wait 6 months to see a specialist when we
have a condition that will kill us in 3 months...

So you're saying that as long as you had the ability to see that specialist but the uninsured didn't, it was OK for them to die? Fantastic logic there Sparky...

Much better that all die. Got it

Nonsense.

The ACA authorizes neither criminal nor civil penalties.

Only the most gullible apologists for ACA are making this argument. Compliance will be an ongoing effort and, I predict, most definitely end with people doing time.

They did the same sort of soft-pedaling when they were convincing all the states to mandate auto insurance. Over time, they upped the stakes and put 'teeth' in the bill. This will most assuredly happy with the ACA mandate, especially if there is a popular civil disobedience effort.

Ah..so at some unspecified time in the future there will be an unspecified enforcement mechanism added..because you say so, right?

And a Tin Foil hat keeps the government from reading minds.

No it's not. It's a tax, didn't you know?

Which has specific provision on it that it will not be enforced.

As in the IRS can't do anything to you if you don't pay. Neither can any other federal agency.

Liar. Then and now. Mandate and tax .

The lie was and is being told by you guys.

Find that provision that enforces that tax. There is none. Quite the opposite. The ACA specifically says that the IRS will not do anything to enforce the tax.

This lie is up there with the death panels one..and "rationing" health care.

It's nonsense.

Because it's the way these things work. I can't manage the naive gullibility you embrace - though I sort of wish I could. Wish I could just sit back, drink a beer and watch TV while my nation enslaves itself.

We've had subcontractors that "neglected" to pay their taxes. After several notices from the IRS to the subcontractor, they send us a notice ordering us to send the next subcontractors payment to them. Sure, it is a shock to the subcontractor and probably painful, but I have no sympathy for them. I pay my taxes and they certainly don't deserve special treatment (though of course, none of them are Mitt Romney). And none of them have gone to jail.

More hysterical nonsense from the loons....who can only win elections by instilling hysterical fear in their followers.

Hysterical fear is exactly what keeps Democrats and Republicans in charge. Well, that and willful ignorance.

You really think Romney's going to repeal it?:badgrin::badgrin::badgrin:

well, there's one born every minute.

He doesn't have to.

Its a tax.

Congress can repeal taxes at will.

Again, works on the assumption that the insurance companies would want them to.

If you get rid of the mandate with leaving all the other provisions, you've effectively made it possible for people to sign up for insurance when they get sick.

The idea was to keep the policy holders from cheating the insurance companies while keeping the insurance companies from cheating the policy holders. When only one side can cheat, the system fails. No one wants that.

Liar. Then and now. Mandate and tax .

Need waterboarding ... and death panels.. manditory abortions.. and guns taken away from anybody that gets sick.. higher gasoline prices..

Obama is now trying to tell everyone there won't be any tax....he's trying to convience you, so you'll still vote for him......he is the biggest liar we have ever had for a president. Your a fool if you believe anything this muslim tells you.
We are going to be taxed to death. And you buy the health insurance or irs will be on your door step, or jail time.
Are you going to vote for obama again, or stand with the majority and get rid of him. Obama is not the important one, or any party affliation, its our livelyhoods at stake and the important issue.

hospitals should be very happy and not go in to bankruptcy and close down as often as they had to in the past with so many non insured that they were required by law to treat and pick up the tab, with tax payer's help, no???

I think this could be a win win for our medical facilities....if I understand this correctly?

This is why hospital stocks are going up (and insurance stocks are going down).

How you figure?
Millions more insured.
Who is going to treat them?
Has Obamacare funded the construction of more medical facilities?
Will we now have to wait 6 months to see a specialist when we
have a condition that will kill us in 3 months...

I never got an answer from one smarter then a righty libs here about this.
With all the newly insured on the roles now.
Who is gonna be taking care of them?

I have asked this question over and over again.
Have yet to get an answer.
yes, it's part of the bill....more doctors, increased numbers at medical schools, nursing as well and more medical facilities....

they are certain to stumble though, imo....until the increase in doctors catches up...so in a way, i agree with you.... there could be a short period of being chaotic....

More Doctors? What makes you think College students might not decide that being a Lawyer is far more lucrative? It's sure going to be fun waiting eighteen months to get "that" Operation you need.
seriously? We have always had more bright students wanting to be Doctors than our medical schools have allowed in.....Medical boards have decided each year how many people they will "let" be medical Doctors....they estimate how many doctors the society will need in the future and allow in so many students that will fill that need.

A while back, about 10-15 years ago, they made a miscalculation and lowered the amount of students in to Medical School, thinking for some odd reason, that society would need less new doctors....but they did not calculate correctly and forgot the boomers....

they have been trying to play catch up ever since....

It is my understanding that the Affordable health care act, added funds towards medical schools for increased numbers in student doctors, and nurses, etc....

Channel that anger into anger into funds and action for Romney.

I have NEVER been political supporter, donator or active and I dont even care for Romney.

What other choice do we have ?

Checks and works, brother.

You really think Romney's going to repeal it?:badgrin::badgrin::badgrin:

well, there's one born every minute.

Repealing it is easier now. Just repeal the tax, the rest will fall of its own accord.
