Superbowl LX

TPUSA is kicking the shit out of it. Wow. Great show.

YouTube alone registered 5 million viewers. I watched the show on TV and I'm certain my DVR/tuner does not report viewing statistics to anyone, so, the actual number is even higher.

I switched back for a second to see if HT was over yet and all I saw were a bunch of kids hopping around. Is that the bunny part?

The TPUSA thing was well done with refreshingly wholesome, family-orientated, and with a pro-God and country message, and on top of that, they had a nice illuminated runway plus top notch holographic lasers to the shows.

Best halftime I've seen in at least a decade I think.

It was a better game than I expected. Meaning that it kept me awake throughout. And halftime helped with that. The instant the 2nd quarter ended I turned up the TV's volume (I typically watch sports with the sound muted) and tuned in FOX News' live coverage of the Nancy Guthrie situation down there in Tucson for 20-some minutes. Prayers for that family, it's terrible what they're being put through.

I've watched every Super Bowl except one.
This ranks in the Top Three as the Most Boring.

Boring? How could that be? New England set a few records this game, one possibly being the worst offense and total ass-kicking of any SB in history with them coming pretty close for a long while of even ending up first team ever to scratch without a point.

Surprising as I thought Mike really had Seattle confused by their unorthodox strategy:
  • PUNT
  • PUNT
  • PUNT
  • PUNT
  • PUNT
  • PUNT
The best part was when Drake Maye the QB of the Pats was already clearly out of bounds off the field when a Seattle defender came along and still hit him pretty hard, and the Refs would not even throw a penalty flag. :lmao:

The hype is now ramping up.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I do hope its a good game. Rooting for the Seachickins to win by 5, just to stick it to My collegue.

LOL
I'm in Florida this month. Apparently NE and the Dolphins are in the same division. So every year they play each other in Florida during the winter, NE fans come down and take over Fort Lauderdale. Probably Miami too but I wouldn't know about that. So last night it was Patriot jersey's everywhere. I told everyone at the restaurant/bar we were watching the game that I'm a Lion's fan and I'm rooting for Seattle because they have won enough. They can't get insulted by that right? So when they cheered, I didn't. When I cheered, they didn't. LOL.

Anyways, I just want to give my opinion of NE fans. God I hate them. They're all so good looking and they have money. Their jersey's and team attire are PERFECT! Not like us in Detroit where we are still wearing our Barry Sanders jersey's. LOL.

These fuckers just assume it's going to go their way. They were shocked when it didn't. So different from being a Lion's fan. We expect things to not go our way.

Anyways, ha ha. No one remembers who made it to the Super Bowl and lost. Only the winners. Look at how no one brags about how many times Tom Brady went to the Super Bowl. Was it 10 times? They only brag about the 7 he won. Now they should brag about making it but they don't because making it means nothing. You still failed just like all the other teams who got knocked out in previous rounds.

Last night I was not hoping for an exciting ending because if that happened, NE would have won.

Not sure why I cared so much. Like you I had no dog in the fight.

Sam Darnold is amazing

A historic draft bust who was destined to be a career backup
Darnold was nothing compared to Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson.

Who is the only QB in that draft who has a ring?

The better team won. Defense wins championships and Seattle’s defense was incredibly effective.

The Seahawks basically just Trent Dilfer’d their way to a championship win.

Congratulations to the Seahawks.

All these coaches being fired is less an indictment to just losing to a hapless set of bums like New England, and just more of a general satisfaction among many cities for the rather crappy, poor product the NFL has been turning out these days.

Oh and Tomlin was fired too. Pittsburgh just won't say that so they put it on the wire that he and the Rooneys (Steelers owners) parted ways amicably.

Yep the Sam Darnold Redemption is a great story! It usually goes the other way a la Kirk Cousins.

It's not over yet but, barring a New England miracle, what a shame that such a great season has to end on this stinker of a game.
It's easy to Monday Morning Quarterback, so here goes! Did the Patriots' OC never hear of a 3 step drop and throw? Geez how many times did they need to see the pocket collapse? It was U-G-L-Y.

Josh McDaniels is one of the best in the business. I don't know what he was thinking yesterday. :huh1:

Lessons learned: Sam Darnold proved himself despite all the negative press while Drake Maye the media darling only proved himself a deer in the headlights when he finally faced one actual good team.

Patriots are lucky. If not for a few brilliant deep saves by their defense, that game could have easy turned out to be a 50-13 game Seattle blowout.
