Believe it or not, the Sunni are even MORE evil than the Shits, er Shiites

Oh yeah, they've been butchering Shi'ites for 1400 years. All the Shi'ite prophets have been butchered by Sunni's. At this stage though, both are thirsty for each other's blood.

The beginning of the Sunni / Shia divide was originally political......how the leader over the muslim people was to be chosen.

Sunni position: The best person to lead is voted on by a council of elders.

Shiite position: The leader must be a direct bloodline descendant of Prophet Muhammad.


Over the years Shiite hereditary leadership has morphed into the theocratic rulers in Iran and southern Iraq called the Ayatollah.

The Ayatollah is much like the Catholic Pope in that he speaks for God. The difference is the Ayatollah's words must be obeyed without question.


The Sunni's on the other hand, have no religious hierarchy; and are under no obligation to obey any Imam or religious leaders rulings or fatwas.


The animosity today between Sunni and Shia today mainly has to do with religious doctrine and practice.

In order to separate themselves from the majority Sunni's; .....the Shiites over the centuries have developed a heretical cult version of Islam that is extremely offensive to Sunni muslims; and full of blasphemy and slander towards Muhammad's wives and companions.

Uncensored: I lived and worked in Muslim countries for 7 years. My work is professional, and I've worked closely with many Muslim people, people who are modern, educated Muslims. So, I'm not speaking carelessly. Though Sunni man does not resemble my friends much as he is radical and appears to be less educated, his explanation of the divide between the Sunnis and Shias is essentially what my friends told me. All of the countries I worked in have been Sunni; the people were friendly and essentially no different than modern people anywhere in the world.

Aside from the Sunni versus Shia topic - as Roudy brought up the accomplishments of man. We are not divided into groups according to intellectual abilities. People are people.

With that said I believe the Muslim people are just as capable as anyone else of coming up with a good idea on their own that would be of benefit to others.

And with that said!

The scriptures tell us that "Knowledge puffeth up"! What does that mean? It means that one who studies alot, gains knowledge, is gifted with intelligence - it can puff the person up. Which means they could fall into pride which is the MOST dangerous of sins. ( imo ) God resists the proud but giveth grace unto the humble.

If the devil cannot get us one way he will try for another and what I would say is it is good to realize that apart from God we are nothing. No one has any reason to be prideful. No one. If we think we do then we do not realize who it is that is orchestrating everything including our all being together on one board! It is important for Sunni to be here! It is important for Derideo to be here! It is important for Roudy to be here! It is important for AquaAthena to be a moderator here! It is important for Coyote to be a moderator here! Why is it important? Because God has set it up that way and He doesn't appoint people at random, he doesn't bring certain people together without a purpose in mind.

That is my 2 cents and I will now return to my own thread.
