On the day he was killed, Rosenbaum had been released from a Milwaukee hospital. The jury was told that much, but not why he had been admitted — after a suicide attempt.

The first man shot and killed by Kyle Rittenhouse on the streets of Kenosha was acting “belligerently” that night but did not appear to pose a serious threat to anyone, a witness testified Friday at Rittenhouse’s murder trial.

Jason Lackowski, a former Marine who said he took an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle to Kenosha last year to help protect property during violent protests against racial injustice, said that Joseph Rosenbaum “asked very bluntly to shoot him” and took a few “false steppings ... to entice someone to do something.”

Lackowski got up from the witness stand and demonstrated what he meant by “false stepping.” He took a small step and slight lurch forward, then stopped.

But Lackowski, who was called as a witness by the prosecution, said he considered Rosenbaum a “babbling idiot” and turned his back and ignored him.

Looks like Rosenbaum went around to openly armed militia members and tried to get them to shoot him. One militia member said Rosenbaum taunted him, but he turned his back on Rosenbaum.

Sound plausible?

I've done a lot of research on this case. It's likely and definitely plausible that he was homicidal/suicidal. And he had an intense hatred of cops and anyone he perceives as siding with the police. I think he wanted to assault Kyle, take his AR-15, kill Kyle, or maybe even rape him at gunpoint before he kills him, and then go try to kill as many cops or those he perceived as siding with the police as possible before they eventually killed him.

Reportedly he had told his victim/fiancée Kariann Swart that if he couldn't be with her, he would kill himself, on several occasions. It was a very common manipulative threat of self harm.

In July of 2020 she had looked through his phone and found pornography. Under the terms of his lifetime probation, he was not allowed to possess pornography, take controlled substances that were not prescribed to him by a doctor, drink alcohol or have contact with anyone under 18 years old.

When she confronted him with this, he became enraged and started yelling and screaming and repeatedly punching a shed. The guy has anger issues. Then when she tried to go back into the house he ran after her, knocked her down on her face from behind and proceeded to slam the door on her legs and beat the crap out of her.

A bystander out by the road saw the attack and called the police. The police arrested him and charged him for assault with a domestic violence modifier.

After a couple of days he was released on his own recognizance. He illegally texted Ms. Swart in violation of a court protection order and she didn't text him back. Apparently he tried to make good on his manipulative threat that he would kill himself if he couldn't be with her.

So he went to McDonalds and took a shitload of prescription medications. He was on 7 prescription meds and emptied 5 of them. Then he got sick, called a crisis hotline and the police showed up and found him vomiting. Then he went into tonic-clonic seizures (grand mal seizures).

He almost died and spent three days in the ICU. He was then transferred to a psychiatric hospital in Milwaukee. After a few weeks they discharged him and dropped him off back in Kenosha. He illegally visited Ms. Swart and she refused to let him stay with her because of the protection order.

Then he walked 4 miles to the riot.

So there he was. No money, no job, no home. And he had just been rejected by Ms. Swart again after telling her on multiple occasions that he would kill himself if couldn't be with her.

And he couldn't overdose again because he couldn't fill his prescriptions. The pharmacies in the area were closed because of the riots.

Rosenbaum intentionally committing suicide by Rittenhouse is very plausible.

What is all over the news is the verdict rendered by the Jury. You think it's going to be a white supremacy story, when Lil Kyle shot three white people? You may have something about the 500 National Guard troops. Somebody tried a daytime rally in downtown Kenosha only got less than 200 to show up. I sure wouldn't test the 500 National Guard troop with 200 lack luster daytime rally people.

I didn't see the riot season on the Wisconsin Tourist bureau site. I suspect there just wasn't enough interest. If they could have pushed trial for December it would be in the 20s.

Only people doing any rioting are out in Portland, but they don't need a reason, they just like that sort of thing, cause the city and state are willing to put up with it.
