Russian politician Boris Yeltsin was sworn into office as the country's first elected president.

As our main political party today, actually stands for the very same things as the Communist Party did, it behooves voters to remember what the President of the nation that slaughtered millions upon millions of its own citizens in the name of communism.

Boris Yeltsin himself showed the error of this attempt:

In September of 1991, the President of Russia, Boris Yeltsin, was asked about the history and future of Communism:
“One of their more dramatic responses came to a question by Los Angeles actor Ben Stein, who asked whether the two leaders believed any country should live under communism.

Yeltsin answered first: "This experiment which was conducted on our soil was a tragedy for our people and it was too bad that it happened on our territory. It would have been better if the experiment had happened in some small country, to make it clear that it was a Utopian idea, although a beautiful idea."

Gorbachev said history has shown that "that model has failed which was brought about in our country. And I believe that this is a lesson not only for our people but for all peoples.”
GORBACHEV, YELTSIN SAY COMMUNISM FAILED USSR

Voters should remember that in November.....and recall what Santayana said, too:
Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

The Communist Party's "dictatorship of the proletariat" is a temporary measure in the theories of Marx, Lenin, Stalin, et alia.

The intent of it is to realize a transition to a communist paradise where all needs are met and no talent goes wasted.

The funny thing about the promised "transition" of Communism is that it does happen, and inevitably happens: toward capitalism and away from the central management of the economy.

Lol. You got any evidence that Trump is going dictatorial? Like, actual policy moves he's made to concentrate power to the executive? Or just things he's blurted out at press conferences that feed into your preexisting conviction that he's a secret Hitler?

Thank the government school system for that.

"A Black Lives Matter-supporting teacher took to Twitter to assert that 2+2 only = 4 because of “western imperialism.”
Yes, really.
Brittany Marshall’s tweet went viral after she claimed during the course of a discussion about racism, “Nope the idea of 2 + 2 equaling 4 is cultural and because of western imperialism/colonization, we think of it as the only way of knowing.”
Marshall, who includes her pronouns in her bio, lists her occupation as “teacher, scholar, social justice change agent” and apparently is studying for a PhD at Rutgers."

Take a guess as to who her vote will be for in November.

The Constitution is the only set of laws that the people of this nation have agreed to be governed by. Unfortunately, a man who was unqualified to be the leader of the American people, gained power, and had no belief in the Constitution.

FDR surrounded himself with men who favored Stalin, Mussolini, and Lenin, rather than Washington, Jefferson and Madison.

Franklin Roosevelt chose as his adviser, a man who also showed disgust with the Constitution.....and today is that adviser's birthday.

Rexford Guy Tugwell
American economist

Rexford Guy Tugwell, (born July 10, 1891, Sinclairville, N.Y., U.S.—died July 21, 1979, Santa Barbara, Calif.), American economist, one of the three members of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s so-called Brain (or Brains) Trust.
Britannica.com

"While Harvard supplied most of the revolutionary lawyers for the New Deal, Columbia University contributed the largest
quota of Marxian economists. Chief of these was Professor Tugwell, one of Roosevelt's leading brain-trusters, who began
as Assistant Secretary of Agriculture.
The purpose of the Marxian infiltration was to carry out a revolution by subverting government policy to collectivist ends.

. In an address before the American Economic Society in Washington in 1932 Professor Tugwell said: "There is no denying that the contemporary situation in the United States has explosive possibilities. The future is becoming visible
in Russia;...perhaps our vested interests will submit to control without too violent resistance.

Indeed, when it emerged that Tugwell was one of the inner circle of the new President, business leaders and newspapers began to research Tugwell's economic writings, and came away shocked, leading some to nickname him, "Rexford the Red."... Private business, Tugwell added, "would logically be required to disappear. This is not an overstatement for the sake of emphasis; it is literally meant."... Tugwell advocated, "the taking over by the government of any necessary enterprises which refuse to function when their profits are absorbed by taxation." In brief, Tugwell's program, and this was planed, would first make it impossible for business to function, then bring those failed businesses under nationalization or state ownership."
Manly, "The Twenty Year Revolution."

The United States has never been able to recover from the Marxist influence that Franklin Roosevelt brought in.

Obama and Clinton also didn't allow outsiders to investigate them whenever they could prevent it. This isn't the action of a dictator, it's the action of a politician in a democratically elected system. Avoid bad press.

Blocked congress? You mean the veto? So every president is a dictator?

Engaged in endless bullying? Lol, being a dick doesn't make you a dictatorial authoritarian.

He didn't declare the free press to be the enemy of the people, he said that fake news is the enemy of the people. An electorate misinformed about their leaders is a doomed system, so he's not wrong. Also, this is just some shit he said at a press conference. At no point has he actually pushed for any particular legislation to restrict press freedom, other than making comments about wanting to tighten regulations on libel, which is hardly an authoritarian takeover attempt. Particularly when that bluster, again, hasn't ever been followed by an actual policy push of any sort.

Opposed voting rights? I must've missed that one, but given the other items on your list, I gotta admit I smell bullshit already.

The Constitution is the only set of laws that the people of this nation have agreed to be governed by.

The Constitution contains very few laws. What it does contain is a Governmental framework in which laws can be written.

Those who don’t Home Skool realize that

It is impossible to miss the straight line from the Bolshevik policies of the 32nd President to those incorporated in what passes for thinking from the current crop of Democrats.

"[Rex] Tugwell was opposed to any private business not controlled by the government. General Hugh Johnson was working with Tugwell on a bill to create the NRA, and gve Perkins the book by Rafaello Viglione, "The Corporate State," in which the neat Italian system of dictatorship for the benefit of the people was glowingly described." Francis Perkins, "The Roosevelt I Knew." The NRA was copied from Mussolini's corporative system." Manly, p.47

a. Perkins questioned whether Johnson 'really understood the democratic process..." New Dealers had no problem with the fascist nature of their plans.

b. " Fascism did not acquire an evil name in Washington until Hitler became a menace to·the Soviet Union." p. 48

You remember when the congress tried to probe the Solyndra scandal and Obama officials all took the fifth? Remember when congress tried to investigate Fast and Furious and Obama's justice department refused to turn over the documents that were subpoena'ed, so they held Eric Holder in contempt of congress, and they ignored that shit, too? Did that make Obama a dictator for not cooperating with investigations? Or is holding up political investigations with any legal trick you can think of just something that's been happening in politics ever since there were people in power who didn't want to risk losing that power?
