It was there during WWII, and it was there when I was in service, too.

Hell, I damned near got extended in 74 because of some flap in the mid east.

Last night I was glad to see a story on I think CBS about companies not keeping jobs for National Guard members. And like one company owner said there needs to be incentives for these companies to hire guardsmen in the first place. This guy's workforce was I think 50% military men and he spends millions of dollars employing them for one they get to keep their health care while they are in Irag and get paid the difference between the guards pay and what they make working for him while they are deployed. One of the places where they would not rehire guardsmen to the job they previously had was the VA and other government agencies!
