Tim Profitt -- the former Rand Paul volunteer who stomped on the head of a MoveOn activist -- told told local CBS station WKYT that he wants an apology from the woman he stomped and that she started the whole thing.

"I don't think it's that big of a deal," Profitt said. "I would like for her to apologize to me to be honest with you."

He then blamed the forceful downward motion of his foot on the head of Valle as a function of chronic back pain, a claim he has made before:

"I put my foot on her, and I did push her down at the very end, and I told her to stay down. I actually put my foot on her to -- I couldn't bend over because I have issues with my back," Profitt said.

Ya think? I'll bet that if that was a Tea Partier shoving something into Obama's car window into his face-- a lot worse would have happened from Obama supporters trying to protect their candidate. Because that is what happened she rushed the car and shoved a sign into a congressional candidates face and in his car. I do not see why anyone would not perceive that as a threat. One can see the man in the suit (presumably security) grab her firs and then she is off balance falling to the ground. Another man grabs her and then the man puts his foot on her shoulder.

Just for the record I do not agree with the foot in the shoulder but those people probably thought they were protecting their candidate and things got out of hand believing she was trying to hurt him. The stresses of those events and waiting for something bad to happed makes for high tension and this paid protestor knows that too. She is milking it more than Antoine Dodson is IMO

I think most know that the head stomping was out of line and will probably be dealt with in a Civil court. I have no idea if he will be brought up on criminal charges...if he was I would be good with it.
But the "victim" wasn't so innocent herself and she could have legal issues also. She shoved the poster she was carrying into Paul's face through an open window. I really can't feel too sorry for her.

What do the highlighted and bolded mean?

Words like "but," phrases such as "I really can't feel too sorry for her," putting the word "victim," into quotes and suggesting or just plain outright lying about the victim and saying she shoved or was about to shove some sign in the politician's face with no PROOF of it are things that not only SUGGEST, but are ACTUALLY DEFENSE of the reprehensible act.
