Firstly rates going back 125 years don't really exist. You can go back to around the 1960s and get significant data.

His talk of a "stunning economic turnaround" due to his tariffs. When all talk is on the economy not doing very well. Q4 GDP growth was 1.4%.

Trump delivered a good speech. It highlighted his many accomplishments. He also introduced many citizens throughout the speech, from the men's hockey team, the high point, to complaining about the Supreme Court's decision, a low point.
There was nothing on Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, or ICE. It was focused on domestic issues.
He also warned voters that if they elect democrats the border will be wide open again.
He also warned MN that their $19b in fraud won't go unpunished, especially the Somali criminals.
Omar yelled at him but there was so much cheering no one heard her.

I like that he drew a comparison between Republicans and democrats, its up to his policies to kick in by the mid-terms or as the CNN pre-game showed, when a president is below 40% approval they lose between 30-40 House seats in the mid-terms.
