State Department 'concerned' about situation in Libya as conflict escalates

State Department spokeswoman Morgan Ortagus said in a statement Saturday that the U.S. is "concerned" by a request for military support by the Government of National Accord (GNA). The U.S. is also concerned about the Libyan National Army's (LNA) "threat to use foreign-supplied air assets and mercenaries." Forces led by the LNA's Khalifa Haftar have been supported by Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Russian mercenaries, according to the wire service, which cited diplomats and Tripoli officials. A U.S. official told Reuters that the presence of the Russian forces is "creating a bloodier conflict." "More civilian damage, damage to infrastructure like the airports.. hospitals have been targeted. But at the same time we don’t see that Haftar is gaining ground," the person reportedly said.

More crap that Obama and Hillary left America to deal with. Libya was a stable country until the warmongering Progressive Marxist Socialists Hillary, Obama showed up. Now the PMS Leftists are worried that Trump might have wanted the corruption in Ukraine under control before releasing arms and money. Hillary and Barry are responsible for the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others while the Leftists now cry crocodile tears over the firing of Yovanovitch.
Has anyone ever thought as to why Obama and Hillary repeated the same mistake in Libya, and tried too in Syria? It wasn't about the "Arab Spring"
The chain of events leading to this outrageous situation started with the toppling of the government of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, which could not have occurred without the indispensable support of then-President Barack Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Obama, Clinton and the other NATO nations involved in carrying out the Libya mission clearly had no idea of what do once Gaddafi was ousted and ultimately, assassinated.
It’s surprising the extent to which Clinton has gotten a pass by the Progressive Marxist Socialist/DSA Democrat Left for this debacle, which represents a humanitarian and strategic failure of the first order.
