Ukraine want's US protection in return for signing the investment deal, trump refuses to offer that so no deal was signed because there is no deal to sign.

It would have been a win-win for the US as it would have recovered all the freebies that

No he isn't, if he's trying to end the war why does he keep dangling the carrot of providing conditional military aid to Ukraine? How can he end the war when the other NATO members are stating unambiguously that they will continue to provide aid to Ukraine?

If trump wanted to end the war then he should be working with the other NATO members to devise a new strategy that satisfies Russia's security concerns not ignoring them and bullying Zelensky with all the talk of a fake "deal".

trump cannot work with NATO because he's not a team player, he's a bully and if he can't dictate terms to everyone else he throws a tantrum, his unwillingness to work with NATO is just that, a trump tantrum.
