It's a combination of crime and lack of people working in downtowns due to work from home (which is also impacted by crime).

Sad, San Fransisco was a great city. It is a reflection of our failed politics, the lost of our great standard of living. How many people can afford to go visit this city? How many can afford to live in this city.

If our country was as great as it could be, Americans could easily travel, easily afford to travel or live anywhere we want.

But most of us can not. Hell, most Californians can not even afford the gas to move, drive out of the state.
