It looks a lot less campy than the first ten movies. It has the same feel to it that Batman Begins did, a new direction for a classic series. I like it.

The problem with prequels is that with modern movie making technology it is really hard to suspend disbelief.

I really liked the ST: Enterprise series. But it was tough to believe that Archer was actually less technically advanced than Kirk simply because the FX in the series was so much more advanced than TOS.
