Star Trek Fans? Identify Yourselves...

Equally as good? No. However, it can be quite subjective, but I will absolutely say that TNG is better than Enterprise, and I can nearly say that as a factual statement.

They set the bar for the future series and there was nothing to measure the original crew and Enterprise by, so they will always stand alone.
It was great comedy as well as story telling IMO.

I know there's plenty of you fellow Trekkies on this board.

So, what's your era?

Me? I never watched much of the original series as it was well before my time. I definitely watched all the original cast movies though.
I watched all of Next Generation routinely, and all the movies.
I came to very much enjoy Deep Space Nine, especially season 3 and beyond. (the first seasons were too cuddly)
I enjoyed Voyager
I liked the Star Trek reboot, LOVED Into Darkness, and hated Beyond
Then, I stopped. No Enterprise, no Picard.

So, feel free to spew out your Trek credentials and opinions. I'll throw some gasoline on the fire and give my top 8 Star Trek movies.. feel free to agree and disagree
1. Star Trek: First Contact
2. Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
3. Star Trek: Generations
4. Star Trek: Into Darkness
5. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
6. Star Trek 2009 first reboot
7. Star Trek Nemesis
8. Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
I am a fan. Even though Sulu went full woke libtard

youre proving my point,,

if you want to talk about talent and effects the original series sucked ass,,

its about the story and the ability to act,,
The original series had a lot of action in it. The other shows from the 80's had feminism in it to a degree. They were still good though. On DS9 the Kira character was pregnant and beat the crap out of a few Klingons in one episode as an example.

Star Trek is WAY too full of preppy Federation officers being able to kill the most menacing Klingon warriors, or other "warrior races".

I was/am an avid fan of the original Star Trek series, the Next Generation and own the first six Star Trek movies all starring William Shatner--The Voyage Home was my favorite of the movies--and even learned a little Klingon. I know little or nothing beyond that but I consider myself a Trekkie.

Best scene ever!

Evasive!

For some people who may not know the Klingon Captain was played by Mark Lenard, the guy who played Sarak and the Romulan Commander in the "balance of terror" TOS episode.

Love TOS and TNG.

Like Enterprise a lot.

Voyager and DS9, meh.

The movies are OK....The Wrath of Khan is obviously the best.

Gave the reboot a chance, even with the plot holes in the '09 edition...Liked the idea of an alternate timeline...Then they rehashed Khan, and horribly at that?....I hate all of them...JJ Abrams sucks on toast.

I started in the very beginning.

I love the line in The Voyage Home when Kirk is on earth w/Spock who has the tied head band on, and you can tell he wants to be the one that "fits in"... and when he turns some guy brushes up against him and says something to the tune of "get out of the way dumbass!", and Kirk turns, and awkwardly yells "Well double dumbass on you!!"

LMAO

I will defend Benedict Cumberbatch as Khan... he made a VERY good, if not perfect, young Khan.

And the middle portion of "Into Darkness" is amazing Star Trek cinema. The end is less than believable because it exposes Spock as far too emotional.. but, I won't assume you want to get into that kind of detail unless you let me know... like, in this thread LOL

NOT true... although she had all the right curves... I meant the ship (ships are always referred to as females)

For it's time, great.

My favorite battle scenes in Star Trek:
  • Battle of sector 001: Federation vs. Borg (First contact)
  • Gen. Chang vs. Kirk (Star Trek 6)
  • Picard vs. Shinzon's Reman Scimitar (Star Trek: Nemesis).. it's a 30 min slug fest. Even if the movie underperformed, the end ship battle was mammoth.
  • Kirk vs. Admiral Marcus' Dreadnaught (Star Trek: Into Darkness).

Lots of memorable scenes in that movie. I wait for that scene where their stolen most formidable looking Klingon space ship comes up out of the ocean and scares the bejeebers out of the whalers trying to kill the whales.

And Scotty's line: "Damage control is easy. Reading Klingon, that's hard."

The ship design was Meh. But Seven, whoooo boy. HER curves were absolutely in all the right spots!

Yes, I can be quite shallow at times!

I found Janeway to be an idiot. Chakotay was good, mostly believable, but the Federation allowing terrorists into the fleet was a bit much.
