Spread the wealth - one boat, a few boats, or many boats?

There should only b e one boat... and nobody else should be allowed to have a boat because nobody works hard enough for a boat but the rich guy.

Giving boats to poor people isn't a good idea.

None of them know the difference between leeward and windward, for instance.

Plus, if you give them a boat, they'll probably just put it up on cement blocks in the back yard, then get drunk on night train and throw up all over it.

1000 millionaires is better for the overall economy than one billionaire, they all know it but would never admit it.

A simple notion that so many still reject. Why is a million dollar boat not as good as ten $100,000 boats, and 100 $10,000 boats is even better, and 1,000 $1,000 boats is much, much better still. Now, why is that? It has to do with the economic activity created by such a thing.
WTF?? guess you sign onto the do two they are small mentality?if that theory where really valid, one would ask why do they build such big container ships??
That's an entirely different economics, but let's say that we didn't have such large ships and we needed ten times as many ships instead? Well, that's five times as many jobs and five times as much gear needed to operate them safely, all of which have to be paid for. If you're mechanic you want a lot of cars on the road, not just a few expensive ones. Spreading the wealth creates more wealth. Lost of people buying smaller things is much better then just a few people buying bigger things. You want to keep lots of money flowing around, that's how everyone does better.

Wrong again. "Spreading the wealth" is just a euphemism meaning to loot people. When you take the money people have earned, they stop doing what they did to earn it. That means they stop producing wealth. "Spreading the wealth" destroys wealth. It doesn't create wealth.

Then all you parasites would be complaining about the 1000 millionaires. The reason people become billionaires is the fact that they produced something of immense value to consumers. If you destroy billionaires, you destroy the most productive members of society, and the government pisses the money away paying it out to useless parasites.

How is that "better?"

They'll sell the boat and buy crack.

ROFL! Yeah, that might be adequate for a fishing on a pond as long as no storms come up. Notice I used the term SEAworthy. What do you think that means?
That is floats.

seaworthy

adjective sea·wor·thy \ˈsē-ˌwər-thē\
: fit or safe to travel on the sea

Small boats do go out into the seas...

ROFL! You can't even read your own definition. I'll repeat it for you: "fit or safe to travel on the SEA"
Yes, and small boats travel on the sea, just not very far.

I'll bet you can't get anyone to take a boat like that more than 100 yards from shore.
You'd be mistaken, but it hardly matters. The economics works exactly the same.

Yes, that's right. It's just as stupid.

1000 billionaires are better than 1 billionaire too.
Really? Do you really believe such incredible concentrations of wealth benefit the wider economy? You can talk of investment and such but they are only going to buy so many houses, cars, boats and other assorted durable goods. It's fucking ridiculous to get so wealthy that you can't even give it all away in your lifetime.

How about raising the minimum wage to $15 bucks per hour for all corporations making more than a billion per year??? Maybe keep it as it is for tiny businesses.

Would that work?
Taxation is the only sure way to make trickle-down work as advertised.

I know many extraordinarily wealthy people.

Almost all are giving most of what they've earned away.

You're making the assumption everyone both wants or deserves a boat. Maybe you don't have a boat because you wouldn't know what the fuck to do with it if you had one. Maybe you just don't deserve one at any price.

If you weren't a communistic piece of shit maybe you would start out with a 1,000 dollar boat and work your way up to a million dollar trawler. But since your entire life is based on what others have earned and jealousy for not having what they do you just want to limit the size of any boat anyone can have.

We need boats ranging in price from 1 million down to 1000 because that gives everyone a chance at purchasing the boat they need, want or deserve equally. Once the best boat you can purchase is only the 1000 dollar piece of shit then you have limited the entire economy to people that aren't capable of doing any better. At some point somebody will own 1 million 1000 dollar boats and you will be all upset wanting to limit how many they can own.

Go buy the best boat you can afford and stop worrying about someone elses. If you were capable you would have a better one.

Most of a billionaires wealth is in the form of capital of one kind or another. That means it's invested in plant and equipment. You know, that stuff people need to do their jobs. More billionaires means more people with good paying jobs.

Only libs are so ignorant and delusional as to believe that all the money billionaires have is tied up in playthings. These morons spent too much time watching Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.

Another colossally stupid idea.

Depends on what you are planning on doing with the boats. For many uses, bigger boats are more efficient and less polluting than a bunch of smaller boats.

I am unconcerned with the efficiency. In this case I am concerned only with what spreads the wealth and creates even more wealth, which is many boats bought by many people. When the money flows we all do better.
