Our Muslim Troubles: A Video Series, Part One

Posted on February 24, 2026 by Baron Bodissey
Longtime readers will remember El Inglés’ five-part series of essays from 2011, “Our Muslim Troubles” (concluding part here). He has now created a series of videos on the same theme, revised and updated with recent data. Below is his overall introduction, followed by the first two videos in the “West Yorkshire” section of the series.

Introduction to West Yorkshire

by El Inglés

My fellow reprobates,

I have finally got round to attempting what I had long considered to be impossible, at least for one of my meagre resources and understanding. A town-by-town, city-by-city, region-by-region analysis of how Our Muslim Troubles are likely to develop across the whole of Britain is now complete and awaiting your discerning eye on Rumble (where it is less likely to get taken down than on other platforms).

For this new project, I decided that video was the only format in which I could do justice to what I was trying to do. Hence my departure from my usual written essays. The videos are map-based, and use Google Maps and ONS (Office for National Statistics) maps to examine the ethnic, religious, and physical geography of Britain to explore Our Muslim Troubles on the basis of the concepts I have developed in my writing over the years.

There are thirty-nine videos in the series. For now, I have released an introductory video and a seven-part sub-series that examines West Yorkshire, one of the most fractious and interesting theatres of conflict likely to emerge. The remaining videos will be released over the coming months. There will also be other videos released on the channel, in which I will examine whatever issues strike me as being worthy of examination.

Much of what I say in this video series is highly speculative, of course. Those who wish to expand on, or disagree with, what I have said in the videos are invited to do so in the comments.

If you find my stuff to be of value, consider checking out the new channel. You can also take a look at my Substack, which is here.

Thank you,
— El Inglés

Part two and three on gates of Vienna or rumble

When my parents redid their front door to have a stain glass window or one of those refracted windows, I convinced them to put a rail on the top with a curtain that can be pulled over the window at night. Same thing with the back door, which has a small window at the top, but they just put a railing with no permanent curtain, so you can only hang a covering over it at night, unless nobody's in the house until late in the evening.
