Today space debris became rather an important issue to be solved in the space exploration area. That is why a lot of space companies wanna make some ``cleaning`` missions to clean the Earth`s orbit from this space junk. So could you please name some ``cleaning`` missions which are about to be launched in the nearest time?

Not a job I'd want. Many of those ancient decaying pieces of junk are contaminated from the nuclear materials they carried, as well as fuel remnants, gases, chemicals for pyrotechnic mechanisms, and other toxic, explosive, or energy-charged materials like hydrazine. It would be like dancing in a mine field.

Space junk consists of a few hundred thousand objects ... that exists between 300km and 36,000km.

The volume of that area is 82.8 Trillion Km3

That's a lot of empty space up there.

There is one space technology that is aimed at cleaning Earth`s orbit. De-orbiting space debris or transferring space debris to disposal orbit means sending dead sats and other kinds of space junk in the atmosphere of Earth where they can burn down.

Besides de-orbiting space debris or transferring space debris to disposal orbit, space tug also aimed at deploying payloads into different orbits and altitudes, correcting satellite or spacecraft orbit, refuelling satellites or spacecrafts

Much of the space junk up there was put there by the Chinese several years back when the idiots shot a missile up there and blew apart some orbiting object just to show they could do it.

Musk made an interesting solution how not to increase the number of space junk with dead satellites. Starlink satellites will have a special self disposal feature in order not to increase the number of spce debris. To clarify it, these satellites will be able to lead themself to the atmosphere of Earth where they can just burn down.
