South Korea Issues Update on Georgia Hyundai Plant ICE Raid

Yes and that was the issue..... failed compliance.

The current system makes it almost impossible to get the people into the country they need to set the plant up.

Well how'd they get work visas to come here then in the first place?

Now you’re just trolling. Obviously the plant was raided because of Trump’s immigration policy.
Actually someone ratted out a half dozen or so South Americans here illegally.
Somewhere along doing that, ICE discovered more foreigners with expired visas.

How did Hyundai let that happen?

This has Miller written all over it.

It’s weird seeing them try to walk it back. Clearly they know the fucked up.

Lutnick is out there saying Hyundai should have done it “the right way” and asked him for a favor to get their visas.

As though that's normal or something.

Part of my job is thinking through consequences of actions…

Anyone wanna bet that down the line you will see companies say…

“Ya, we’ll make these multi-million and multi-billion dollars investments, but as part of the deal there has to be guaranteed visa access for their employees to work as part of the investment.”

No visas? No investment.

Why didn't they comply with US immigration law/policies?

Would have been no problem if that was done.

They could have been in compliance and there would be no issue.

You can't handle the truth

You're saying you're just an old goat then?
Indeed.

B-1 visas are easy to get but Trump says they’re not the right one.
You can dance around this all day, but they were obviously issued during , and also expired under Bidens time warp.

Trump's immigration policy....LoL, it's called US immigration law.

This has Miller written all over it.
Was it Miller who dimed on illegals from SA working there?

This has TDS written all over it.

Doesn’t matter who issued the visa or when it expired. Trump’s DHS says the B1 visas don’t allow them to work at the plant.

Trump ignores the law whenever it’s convenient. Not sure why he decided to get all picky about it now. He knows it’s a **** up.

After the fact excuse.

Yeah, because they're here illegally now.
Trump ignores the law whenever it’s convenient.
Nope, how many SCOTUS decisions has He ignored compared to Biden?
He knows it’s a **** up.
He told the workers they could come back, just like your favorite vegetable pickers.

According to Trump, they were always here illegally. They never had a valid visa.

There is a difference between having a valid visa and complying with the terms of the visa.

B-1 visa don't allow you to work. Kind of like being in the US on a B-1 visa and taking a modeling jobs. Such and individual would have a visa, but violate the terms of th visa.

If someone applies for a visa under false pretenses, it’s automatically an invalid visa.

Maybe we are just splitting hairs.

So you're saying they were given the wrong visa classification under Biden?

They got the visa they applied for. Trump is saying they applied for the wrong visa.
