I am totally pissed off. We bowed. Over a STUPID comedy movie starring two losers who are not funny anyway. The mighty USA has cowered over...THIS.

Bullshit. sony pictures cowered. Not the US. Quit sucking up to North Korea.

If the tactic worked, it doesn't really matter who blinked. The message to the perpetrator is, "cool, we did it; now we can do it whenever we want".

They say, that North Korea should care about the response to 911. But... Do they understand that Bush attacked a country that had nothing to do 911? This time America can attack South Korea, for example.

There will be no cyber-war with North Korea because they'll start lobbing shells into South Korea if we do anything in retaliation. The only people that are scared of Obama is the American People.

Terrorist threats levied - movie cancelled. This is directly related to threats. It does not matter why the threats worked, the FACT is that they did. You will see this again as it has proven to be effective.

The litigious nature of Americans got this film canceled. All it would take is for one lone gunmen not even related to any terrorist group to be an opportunist and kill some people at the theater. There'd be lawsuits up and down. Theater chains and owners aren't going to risk being drowned in millions upon millions of dollars in legal fee's over a movie. You can also bet their insurance companies told them they are on their own if they decide to screen the film after these threats.

You're right, it is VERY effective. Americans just got a little taste of how effective and powerful cyber terrorism is.

Lawsuits would be thrown out the door with one sign posted in front of the theater ......ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Gracie if only it were that easy. I know you're emotional about this whole thing (understandably) but there was just no way around this unless all the theatre's that were screening it put in place security comparable to the Olympic games. It's just not feasable.

This is new territory and it doesn't look good going forward. We're kinda fucked right now.
