Certainly the party is aware of this. No doubt the migration of many Hispanics to the party has been a huge relief for them, although that's probably more a function of Hispanics being repulsed by the Democrats than attracted to the Republicans.

So -- led (whether they know it or not) by characters like Bannon -- they're doing everything they can to pack swing states with loyalists in key positions who will throw a wrench into our constitutional system to protect the brand/ideology. A very smart strategy, and it could work.

So we may end of with a minority of the country having great power and we'd see them exercise it. They're going to keep us in the Fifties for as long as they can, while the rest of the world, influenced and dominated most by China, happily passes us by.
