Solid state batteries

What renewables? The solar and wind are piss poor sources.

Are you going to stay at home on a day when the sun in not shinning to power the county size solar array to charge up the batteries in you vehicle? You and everybody else?

What are you going to do in the middle of winter in most the US when the sun hasn't shinned for two months in a row?

Stop being an idiot.

US solar surpasses 100 GW capacity with 5 GW installed in Q1 2021

HIGHLIGHTS
Texas bumps California out of top spot for Q1
Utility-scale solar set record for Q1 installations
Q1 solar installations increase 46% year on year

LOL Just what one expect from ignorant dumb fucks. Even running on 100% electricity from coal plants, an EV emits less carbon per mile because of the efficiency of the turbines and EV's compared to the very inefficient ICE's. And one can install solar on their roof, and there is no emissions from the running of the EV. Also, the fuel is free. Try installing a refinery on your roof. LOL

First of all carbon hasn't been proven to be a problem. Secondly I'd love to see your calculations on carbon emissions per mile for turbines and ICE's. And lastly the widespread use of solar panels will have a cooling effect on the earth as any solar radiation that is converted into electricity is solar radiation that does not heat the surface of the planet.

On your first point, it was proven to be false in 1859. Second point;
Third point? You are fucking stupid to keep repeating this nonsense.

Incorrect. There has been no experiment that quantifies the associated temperature for a 120 ppm increase in CO2.

Still waiting to see YOUR calculations, bro.

It's already been proven that any solar radiation that is converted into electricity is solar radiation that does not heat the surface of the planet. So you can 100% expect there to be a cooling effect from the widespread use of solar power.

You can get the math here, but it is far beyond your ken.

I don't want math. I want the experiment that shows the associated temperature increase from 300 ppm to 420 ppm.

Do you have that?
116 in Portland, Oregon. 121 in Lytton, BC. Temperatures in the 90 to 100 range north of the Arctic Circle in Siberia. Yes, the experiment is ongoing and we are seeing the results in real time.

ummm, no.

The reason no experiment has been published is that the results don’t support their claim.

About a dumb ass, aren't you. The results, these very high and record breaking temperatures were published all over the world on every kind of media. The experiment is ongoing, and we are seeing the results in the record heat waves, floods, and fires around the world.

All from natural causes. Show me a laboratory experiment that measures the associated temperature for a 120 ppm increase in a minor greenhouse gas. You can't because there isn't one. And there isn't one because it doesn't show what they want it to show.

However much you scream and piss your panties, it will not stop the current switch from fossil fuels to renewables and EV's in all forms of transportation. You see, that is now being driven by economics. The beneficial effects from reducing our emissions of GHGs is actually a secondary affect, only being used by the oligarchs to say "See, we are now being the good guys", even as they try to prevent the individual use of renewables.

Much promise with this technology, much work to be done. Many different battery technologies being developed now using many different materials. But one must always remember no matter how promising, what is easy to build in the lab may be an entirely different thing to produce.

Toyota came out months ago saying they were onto something big with solid state batteries .....unfortunately it seems they haven't improved range much ..

That's is correct. And they will have to beat the every improving Tesla 4680 battery. However, I am quite sure that will be done by 2025, maybe even by Tesla.

Are they less prone to exploding into raging dangerous fireballs that you can't put out with ordinary ol water?

You seem upset.

Upset over the trend to replace fossil fuels with EV's? Hell no, I like clean air and a lot less pollution.
CO2 isn't pollution, dummy. It is a vital component of the carbon cycle which all life on this planet depends upon.

But not to worry the colder temperatures of the next ten years will put you out of your misery.
