Oooooooooops!!:bye1:

Well, now we know why all energy projections out to mid-century have combined renewables only at about 10%. Too costly.........no public support.

The domino's are beginning to fall now that subsidies are gone... The costs are unsustainable. Did you notice who is now taking it in the shorts? It isn't the owners and democrats who got the money its the little guy share holder who was told it was a slam dunk deal.. The little guy is getting screwed with no return and a loss of investment along with massive increase in power costs..

They must have gone bankrupt because solar energy is now too cheap.

The particularly interesting bit to me is the 1.500 legal entities. You only go through that much trouble to hide illegal activity.

Why should we mandate what will become the chief mode of individual transportation within the next decade?

Silly governments already are mandating them. The only reason for a mandate is because they aren't what you claim.

Did your Grandpa stand beside the road, yelling 'get a horse' at the passing autos? As the solid state lithium and sodium batteries come on line, the EV's will be cheaper, and are already far more efficient than ICE's.

(Reuters) - SunEdison Inc SUNE.N, once the fastest-growing U.S. renewable energy company, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Thursday after a short-lived but aggressive binge of debt-fueled acquisitions proved unsustainable.

Solar developer SunEdison in bankruptcy as aggressive growth plan unravels

The bankruptcy has far more to do with massive mismanagement than with the fact they were in the solar market. Corporations have done this in steel, construction, and agriculture products, in just about any industry in an expansive phase.

Think?

Dang.........that would be the most amazing thing Ive seen in my lifetime, and Bloomberg doesn't concur saying, "by 2040, 1/4 of the vehicles on the road will be light duty EV's".

Bloomberg Predicts EVs Cheaper than IC Engine Cars Within 10 Years - Slashdot

Now.....what about trucks?

Last year, about 400,000 EV's were sold worldwide. Ford alone sold well over 1 million F-Series trucks, so c'mon now.........

I know some people are really passionate about EV domination coming soon but the only place you see such positive predictions is from the green energy industry.........nobody else is seeing it at all.:bye1:

And lets face it......almost nobody is sitting at home prioritizing getting an EV to be more green. Any middle class family is never going to pay a couple of thousand more for an EV as compared to a conventional vehicle.........zero chance. Its just the way it is. Again as Ive said in here and a concept that is not recognized by alarmists: costs matter in the real world. Very few folks are going to be ok with spending even a thousand or two more based on some silly climate change predictions by some scientists. We know that already........it is having virtually zero impact on the population for the past 20 years. Just drive through any neighborhood near you and count the solar paneled houses!!:deal: If you are swayed by the alarmist view, I recommend not to be drinking when you do......alcohol just makes the depression worse.:2up:
