Social Security Will Be Insolvent in 10 Years

No, read my last post. As far as abortion, you can't expect single women living in this society to opt to become mothers when there's hardly any support for them. If you care about fetuses in other people's uteruses, you also have to care for the woman who is carrying the fetus and the fetus once it's born and becomes a member of the community. If we're going to use the heavy hand of government to force women to remain pregnant for nine months then we can't defund the government programs that provide single mothers with housing assistance, SNAP, Medicaid, job training, child daycare, school lunches, afterschool programs..etc.

Force? LOL!

No sir, because as long as production meets the demand, Grandpa and Grandma will receive their SS.

Ony if you pay benefits out of general funds.
Not necessarily provided production meets the demand. The government doesn't need taxes to spend, provided production meets the demand. The US Federal Government's budgetary limits are set by GDP not how much money it's received in taxes. Taxes are important, and I don't want to give the false impression that the government doesn't need taxes, but the FED isn't constrained by taxes in its spending. It can print money beyond what it receives in taxes provided production can meet the demand. Allocating funds for infrastructural development is very important and essentially anything that contributes to expanding GDP.

Printing money doesn’t increase capital.

Energy is incredible capital.
Energy without money in capitalism is social unrest, getting mugged at knife point. There has to be capital and whenever the government balances its budget, there's a recession. The private sector suffers when the government limits its spending as the Republicans are constantly demanding that it must for some silly reason like "That's Communism". No that's allowing capitalism to function properly.

Printing money doesn’t increase capital.
Printing money and allocating it properly ensures that there is capital. Without that infrastructure or those programs, capitalism crumbles. The invisible hand of the "free market", doesn't have any scruples, it's brutal to the point of causing social unrest and a collapse of the market. Projected market adjustments can cause havoc, undermining employment, housing..etc. The invisible hand is like King Kong or Godzilla, it's the inconsiderate chaos of the market.

Printing money. Great idea. DURR

We could cut 40% of government spending until we hit "properly allocated" and
you think we should print to spend more?

Hilarious!!!

Force? LOL!
Forced by necessity. Definitely. Advanced automation, with its AI, will eventually, sooner or later (perhaps sooner than later), force society by necessity to adopt a non-profit-based, centrally planned, democratic, and socialized system of mass production. The alternative is techno-feudalism, where the current wealthy elites own all of the robots, , factories, I'll call it "The Means Of Mass-Production" and the working class (94% of the population), become even poorer than they are now living off of a government check:

That's slavery and I doubt most people will accept that "arrangement". We all must own the robots together, the technology belongs to everybody, as a community, rather than owned by a small, socioeconomic class that is less than 6% of the population. Capitalism can't function without paying consumers. The whole structure of market capitalism is based on wages. Eliminate jobs and you shrink the market, to the point that it's not worth investing in or able to function. You need customers and your customers need to be paid a wage. They spend money in your store or eating at your restaurant, with their wages.

The whole edifice of market capitalism crumbles with advanced, intelligent automation. This won't happen overnight, but it will eventually. It's inevitable, provided technology continues to advance.

We shouldn't cut a dime of spending if it will in any way negatively affect the public. Spending for the public good always contributes to the nation's prosperity, success, and security. We should never cut spending unnecessarily or when it undermines the public good, to please conservative Republicans who hate the government doing anything for the working class. The average Joe American. These right-wing conservatives will spend trillions fighting wars, filling the coffers of the military-industrial complex and DOD, they will spend billions paying their wealthy donors yearly subsidies:

Its not hard to see why the govt cant get this topic right.

The more taxes they take in, the more they spend. EVERY SINGLE TIME. Giving back unspent money to the tax payer, or to help balance the budget isn't something they ever even consider.

But liberals think "the rich" are the problem!!!!!

We shouldn't cut a dime of spending if it will in any way negatively affect the public.

Not paying people to sit home and watch TV negatively impacts the guy getting paid to watch TV.

Spending for the public good always contributes to the nation's prosperity, success, and security.

Wasting money and then lying and saying it's for the public good does not contribute to the nation's prosperity.

You essentially ignored everything I said.

If we're going to use the heavy hand of government to force women to remain pregnant for nine months

The government is forcing me to raise my 6 year old, by not allowing me to kill my 6 year old.
Force.
You're comparing an embryo or unviable fetus to your six-year-old child? What women do with their uteruses in early pregnancy is none of your business. If you want to force actual human beings (pregnant women) to lend their uteruses to embryos or unviable fetuses, the least you can do is create a society where such women (often single women) will get some assistance while pregnant and after birth.

You're taking money out of the economy when you balance government spending.

It's actually the exact opposite, if you take out less revenue out of the economy in the form of taxes then you are leaving more money in the hands of the people who earned it. For the most part, gov't spending is wasteful and riddled with fraud and abuse, and the multiplier effect it has on economic growth is less. True, some expenditures are necessary for the betterment of society, or if a specific program is managed effectively and efficiently. However, those programs are rare indeed.

Energy without money in capitalism is social unrest, getting mugged at knife point. There has to be capital and whenever the government balances its budget, there's a recession. The private sector suffers when the government limits its spending as the Republicans are constantly demanding that it must for some silly reason like "That's Communism". Government is nothing more than a middle man, a facilitator, an agent. The more government is involved, the more the economy is hurt as expenses increase.
If you drive through this country as extensively as I do, you’d see small towns that are vacant and dilapidated because industry and the capital it generates are gone. Outsourced to china, etc.
Whenever I drive through a small town that is thriving with clean streets, filled businesses and storefronts, I can almost bet with 100% certainty that it’s the county seat. The rest of the county and most of the rest of the state are ghost towns.
