Since it seems inevitable that Trump will be the GOP nominee, it's time to turn to who shares the ticket with him. Several have stated they either have "no interest" or are sent into fits of laughter when asked about it. There are a few though who are very open to the idea, including Fatso and Newt:

“If a potential president says I need you, it would be very hard for a patriotic citizen to say no,” Mr. Gingrich said. “People can criticize a nominee, but ultimately there are very few examples of people turning down the vice presidency.”

Since Trump has no idea about what happens in the cloak rooms of Congress and the various departments of the federal government, the idea of a governor being his pick seems remote. Trump for all his foibles, isn't naive enough to think he can ignore how things work on Capitol Hill. He needs somebody like a Gingrich who isn't Gingrich; a man who thought he could be president through TV interviews, with little stomach for the stump. Politics is a face-to-face business and Newt is 72....the fire in his belly went out long ago. So who?

Rubio? Wouldn't you Trumpettes SHIT NICKELS if Marco is his choice?

My shortlist:

Jon Huntsman

Gary Johnson

Newt Gingrich

The perfect choice for him would have been Mitt Romney but seeing Romney dislike Trump ( being nice when describing Romney hate for Trump ) that is not going to happen...

Chances are good he'll lose in the general anyways, so why not do something to really fuck with everybody's head... pick Bernie Sanders, after all they're both gub'mint worshiping, goofball demagogues.

As many of you remember I was a rabid Rubio fan and was roundly abused here for it by Donny's Debutantes. So I got beat and gave up but now there's a glimmer of hope afterall. Rubio not only solves the problem of insider information about the House and Senate, but he also is a tireless campaigner, photogenic enough for the SWF vote, could easily woo hispanics to the GOP side, and is a hawk about national defense. Whether he has any interest or not I don't know. What I do know is that he has 172 delegates that could come in handy in Cleveland and an expiring term in the Senate which leaves him unemployed. In other words, he has plenty of reasons to take the spot.

He wont pick Rubio.
Rubio will be lucky to be neighborhood dog catcher after his epic meltdown and shit. Even his own kids are ashamed of that kid.

Seriously, Duh Donuld is a huge orange ego, flopping around and yelling about how tremendous, amazing, UUGE he is. He surrounds himself with yes-men and that's what he would choose as his veep - someone who would speak only when spoken to, do what they're told and worship Trumpery.

Question: Does he carry that weird orange spray stuff with him or would that be the veep's job?

I think it would be Scott Brown he doesn't help you in any swing states it makes no sense to have an all east coast ticket so I can see Trump picking him.

I agree...Fatso is in the same fix...unpopular in Jersey and no regional help since Trump abandoned his casinos in Atlantic City.

You should concentrate your efforts on the two ancient communists vying to be your candidate, dipshit.

There was no "meltdown" and his kids think he's Superman, moron.

I like Newt. He has been Speaker of the HOuse, has contacts on both sides of the aisle and knows the ins and outs of politics. He would be a great asset to Trump.

His contacts are mostly gone and he's a lousy candidate. I like Newt but he'd be an anchor on the ticket. His best slot would probably be Chief of Staff....liaison between all the dept heads. and a calm voice when the Donald starts going haywire.

Rubio would consider the VP slot and he was my choice for the Republican nomination but I have real doubts if he would want to be on a Trump ticket. If this is a Trump Clinton general and it goes as bad for Trump as I think it could I cant think of many who would to attach their name to it.
