People never want to hear the cold hard truth about themselves. Scripture is replete with indictments, warnings, and judgements against mankind and the penalty for refusing G-d's free gift.

Since it's a church locally to me I cannot post the video of it so you're just going to have to take my word for it, but I just looked up a recent online video of a service at the church that I used to attend to see if it was any better now that woke is considered to broke.




It wasn't and in fact it was even worse. That pastor wasn't a pastor he was a political activist like that one so called female bishop. He started talking about uniting the conservatives with the progressives in a prayer and how much they embrace diversity.



It gets worse too. He deliberately used God's name in vain and was condoning sin by saying that you have nothing to fear with in God if you're sinning because He loves you way too much to punish you.



These people are being deceived. Yes God loves us but He cannot stand sin and until I can find a church where this garbage isn't being taught then I'm sorry but I refuse to go back to one!! Sad that I got baptized in this church but it's not God's house anymore it's Satan's. OhPleaseJustQuit, and JohnDB now you know why I refuse to attend church.

That's disgusting!

We are very fortunate in my parish. Our priest keeps politics out of the pulpit but trusts the core faithful members enough to let us know how he really feels. He'll never go for that stupid, contemptible, blasphemous garbage.

Several other priests locally have described him as "holy" -- priests that I respect very much. He definitely hammers it in that yes, God loves the sinner, but no, the one who refuses to repent will never make it into Heaven.

Don't give up. Younger people are gravitating towards the church, and I assume that means more and more of them will be choosing religious vocation. The whole country is leaning towards faith.

If you were Baptized in the correct form, ("I Baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit " with sprinkling water of the forehead three times) you are truly Baptized, no matter who does it. My faith teaches that anyone can Baptize another, under certain conditions.

Agree. The Catholic Churches in my area going great. Many young people being baptized every year. It is great to see. Daily masses in the larger church have 50-60 people. All the priests in the area are great. All conservative Not always the case in the past.

Here is a fact I have observed over many decades. Conservative priests = big congregations. More progressive priests = not as many, not as dedicated. People crave truth and rules and leadership.

This happens in the Catholic church too. Our priest has assured us that if we have to, we can celebrate Mass in the basement of one of our homes. It's been done before. "Wherever two or more of you................"

As I watch the war between the real Catholics - very few -- and the rest of the supposed Catholic church, I can feel it coming. Our priest reminds us frequently that we may be called on to be martyrs, and I spend a fair amount of time contemplating what this means.

I married a Jehovah witness woman and she was many great things. But we hit a snag when her elders came to our home and were not able to convert me to that church. Not long after they failed she filed for divorce.
