For I know two autistic people and they never needed a service animal and one of them is severely autistic. This service animal thing is just looking for an excuse to take your pet with you on outings. I'm not saying that's what's happening here but in my experience autistic people don't need service animals.

I trained my dog to carry a quart of oil with him at all times whenever visiting the grocery store or pharmacy.
No way could anyone question his service dog status! he also responds according when ordered to "find the oil plug"
rolling over on his back without hesitation. Many a store manager has simply had to walk away
