What are you talking about? A recession is coming. Ten out of the last eleven recessions happened under a Republican administration. This will be Trump's second recession. The upper income quintile always sees gains in their wealth during recessions as well as during booms. They have the cash to buy up distressed properties as well as buy up stocks when the economy crashes. Where do you get the idea they are losing money?

Your post doesn't present that idea. The big losers of the largest stock market crash in recent history was in 2008-09, when the Great Recession happened. That stock market crash took out retirement plans and took money from the working class with 401Ks. The wealthy bought it.
