Sandy really doesn't compare to Katrina and you'd damn well expect that most of the heart of our industrial strength within the northeast shouldn't be without food, water and clothing a week after the storm. Either it's the mayor of new york city or the president, I just have a hard time believing they're doing the job they expected Bush to do.
It's all good to judge but now they have to do.
A katrina like storm in the mid Atlantic would cost 1-2 trillion dollars.
In terms of property damage, the East Coast lost more. New Orleans was just a bunch of shotgun houses and alleyways.
New York and New Jersey has subways, million dollar beach homes, Yachts, etc....
Sandy was waaaaaay worse than Katrina.
