So much for the claim it's about "Illegal" Immigration

You can't demand someone go back to his home country and then impose a travel ban on said country.

Of course we can. Your visa is expired. You also don’t get to apply for a green card while inside our borders. Get out.
How does it streamline it? It adds extra steps! You obviously don't know what streamlining things means.
Wrong.

As already noted, we use our consular staffs in the other lands to handle such immigration matters. This frees-up our home-based immigration personnel to deal with other immigration issues.

When Heaven was handing out brains, you were on the wrong level line.

What does that have to do with people who are here legally trying to change their status?

This doesn't effect the person who snuck in illegally, or even the person who was granted asylum.

It affects the student or the H1B worker who may have gotten married, or is trying to start a life here. The ones who followed the rules that you guys insist were bad that undocumented immigrants were breaking.

H1B is a guest program, not one for permanent immigration.

That the fact of this was being ignored by previous admins doesn't make a difference.
