I’m not the one with the reading comprehension problem at all. English is my first language, moron. As a Bay Street law clerk, reading comprehension was a necessary skill. So was writing clearly and succinctly.

The fact you see this comment as “supportive” of Iran demonstrates in spades your inability to read and comprehend.

I have stated facts without commenting about my feelings on either side. It appears that stating facts you don’t like, in your mind, is supporting the “other side”.

Trump and the Mullahs are weasels in a barrel. Both are disgusting. And both of their populations are suffering as a result.

That being said, in the battle of the weasels, the Mullahs have clearly won. They have now legitimized setting up a toll both on the Straits of Hormuz.

Ukraine just stopped a vastly superior military force without nuclear weapons. Iran has huge leverage over the economy of the whole world due to our idiotic dependence on fossil fuels. All they have to do to put the world's economies in a tail spin is start hitting those ships in the Persian Gulf with missiles. Heavily mine the Straight of Hormuz, and start nailing ships on either side, and the whole world has a major economic problem.

Oddly enough, it is our Western NATAO “allies” that have the most to lose from the shutdown of the Strait and not only do they not want to assist militarily to ensure that it is open, but they won’t even allow us to land our plans on OUR bases in their countries.

The US stands in a much better economic position that these countries because of their “green” economic policies which have forced a move away from much more reliable sources of energy sources. For example, they closed nuclear power plants, which ironically are low-carbon. Well, guess what? There aren’t enough windmill or solar farms or battery packs to store the energy from those farms to come close to making up what those nuclear plants produced, particularly with the energy demands of AI, thus, they rely more on imported fossil fuels than ever. That was kind of a “no duh” thing, but you can’t tell an avid greeny anything. They already know it all, kind of like the average Democrat.

Regardless, if Iran had nuclear weapons, they would use it as leverage to do all sorts of damage. The US can take over the Strait if we so choose by bombing the coastline into oblivion, but we aren’t like them, we actually do take civilian lives into account so have to be much more selective. Their leverage is limited to a very small military and sewing discord in the US against the war to gain sympathy. Once again, ignorant Democrats fall right into enemies trap because recently they have a proclivity to be anti-US(Trump) on every single issue.
