NOBODY is believing anything Trump says about the war any more. Trump has told so many lies about the war, that he has no credibility on anything he says any more.
Hegseth was on TV this morning claiming an overwhelming victory, and I just laughed and turned it off.
Iran, as shattered as they are, found a way to make lemonade out of the lemons of this invasion. They can now extract a toll from anyone wanting to use the Straits. That will help them rebuild the nation. They had no power or authority to do this before, but Trump has just handed it to them on a blood splattered platter.
When Trump issued his ultimatum, Iran dropped all negotiations and started trolling Trump:
Evidence is mounting that the US told them what to say to give trump an escape route from the corner he painted himself into.
There's no "deal", you have been lied to again.

Here's an article from notably rw Forbes that confirms mine post.

"There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!"
Trump in early March:
Where we're at right now with the ceasefire and Iran's list of demands:
- Fundamental commitment to non-aggression from the US.
- Controlled passage through the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with the Iranian armed forces, which would mean that Iran retains its leverage over the waterway.
- An acceptance of Iran’s nuclear enrichment programme.
- The lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions and resolutions against Iran.
- End of all resolutions against Iran at the International Atomic Energy Agency.
- End of all resolutions against Iran by the United Nations Security Council.
- The withdrawal of US combat forces from all bases in the region.
- Full compensation for damages suffered by Iran during the war – to be secured through payments to Iran by ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
- The release of all Iranian assets and properties frozen abroad.
- The ratification of all these matters in a binding UNSC resolution.
Almost there! We've gone from ships being allowed to pass through in February to a long list of demands for continued passage of ships. The art of the deal indeed.
The US will negotiate against those terms. Negotiating a ceasefire is not an unconditional surrender, in fact it isn't a surrender at all.We didn’t accept those terms. That is their terms.
If Iran has this much leverage with the Strait of Hormuz after their military has been essentially neutered, just imagine how much leverage they would have to do all sorts of things if they had nuclear weapon. The win here will be when Iran has no chance of getting a nuclear weapon for a LONG time. We are almost there

I'm all for preventing Iran from getting nuclear weapons, but as usual reality and Trump's actions don't match what comes out of his mouth.
Is anybody surprised?
Ukraine just stopped a vastly superior military force without nuclear weapons. Iran has huge leverage over the economy of the whole world due to our idiotic dependence on fossil fuels. All they have to do to put the world's economies in a tail spin is start hitting those ships in the Persian Gulf with missiles. Heavily mine the Straight of Hormuz, and start nailing ships on either side, and the whole world has a major economic problem. We didn’t accept those terms. That is their terms.

When have you ever believed anything Trump has said? When has he ever had any credibility???
So you're an Iran sympathizer???......got it
You don't think they have a stockpile of 60% uranium as they have said?
