So is it okay to use violence and intimidation to remove all the guns?

Say we ban whatever, assault rifles, handguns, and big clips. So now we have to go get them all. Do you who advocate gun bans, advocate using violence to confiscate all the guns? Give up the guns, or get locked into a cage/possibly shot?

The use of violence and intimidation is not appropriate in most endevours. Which is precisely why limited government is essential for a free and peaceful society. Because government is legitimized violence and intimidation. And while it is sometimes necessary for a civil society, it should be limited to the barest necessity.
