Merging threads is a difficult procedure, and sometimes the forum software doesn't cooperate.

The threads that are posted first have to be within a few days of each other, likewise, they need be in the same sub-forum.

Otherwise, the software is somewhat uncooperative.

It is possible to move threads around to other sub-forums to merge them, that is tedious, and inevitably, someone will get salty about the move.

It just isn't worth the time and effort.

If they started handing out two-week bans if members purposely post duplicate threads when it is obvious they KNEW the thread topic already existed, (i.e. they posted in the other thread before they started their own in a different forum or with a new spin on the same topic - OPs,) it might reduce the habitual offenders from posting new threads on the same topic. . . . I don't see that happen though.

What is the issue with having multiple threads on the same topic, other than the Progressives getting smashed more
and the Hall monitor jumping in?

What is the actual downside with activity?

Its the way Americans are you do something to another as in violence or bullying and we rally to their defense, it doesn't matter who they are. A good example when I was a teen some girls in gym class got a hard time because they don't shave their legs due to religious reasons. Once the bullying started almost every girl in school stopped shaving their legs to show support.

Charlie Kirk made his money peddling misinformation online. He did not deserve to die but he was far from a saint either... He was shot by a guy who was raise in what seems to be deeply conservation republican voting household who found out he was gender fluid and started seeing someone who was going to start to transition to female.

I say this might have caused a bit of friction in this tightly knitted Conservative MAGA Family make up. He was told for years that he was armed to fight for what he believed in...

That is where I am getting to. But their is no hard evidence...
