That is what she said last night.
Frankly, I'm continually amazed by the Republican Party at how determined they are to see themselves fail even when handed victory; in a way, democrats are justified in their contempt. Consider:
- Democrats can run the most abominable person for office but they never let up backing them. They can be falling down drunk, or just falling down, and they can even call for reprehensible things like the killing of their opponent, but the Left will never give less than 100% to their own people.
- Donald Trump came along in 2015 and the first words out of a lot of republican's mouths was that he wasn't a "true" conservative. To this day, they still bleat that mantra. Republicans get the best candidate they've seen in 40 years, and their first thought is to criticize him themselves.
- The democrat candidate (take Joe Biden) can be 99% wrong, yet they never let up on support. They deflect from his failings, while focusing on the 1% while deflecting to their opponent's flaws. Instead, republicans might have a candidate (take Donald Trump) who gets it mostly 99% right, so what do they do? They jump on that 1% they don't agree with and threaten to jump ship because of it.
- All democrats care about is just so their candidate isn't totally WRONG, while republicans insist on their candidate being totally RIGHT. While a democrat only has to fight against maybe part of the GOP, a republican candidate is assured of having to fight not only all of the democrat party, but a lot of his own party as well.
In a sense, Republicans do not deserve Donald Trump. MTG should be ashamed of herself. Fine if she wants to pull for the women of Epstein, but she didn't have to throw Trump under the bus doing it. In the big picture of things, Epstein is but a minor detour. It would not surprise me now if the GOP doesn't just **** themselves over yet again, sabotage their golden opportunity for the party and the country, and lose the midterms as well.
