From what I can gather, Trump relied on his oldest and best negotiating tactic -- Be nice. Appear to agree and even to cooperate. But without backing down.

Trump has made it clear what he wants and what he expects, now it's up to Mamdani. If CommieBoy does a good job, Trump can claim he was part of helping it happen. If Mamdani becomes the asshole he campaigned as, Trump can slam-dunk his commie ass into the Stone Age and claim, rightfully, "I gave him a Chance"

MTG was getting beat-up by the DISGUSTING FILTH day in and day out. Instead of wearing it as a Badge of Courage, which it is, she let it affect her emotionally and she reacted poorly.
