I realize Trump is not in office yet and can't really do much. However I hope he keeps in mind that groceries sunk Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
If he has any aspirations for the mid term he had better make groceries a priority.

I realize it's a bit more complex than simply ordering the grocery stores to lower their prices which would only cause them to close their doors.

If it's a supply chain issue let's get to it! It's the single most interactive point of the economy for 100% of the population.

Even when he's in office, the supply chain issue won't change...quickly that is. And let's not even talk about what happens should those blanket tariff increases go through.

I'll say now what I said then.... The average Joe doesn't give a shit about the supply chain, The core inflation BS or the latest bird flu on the chicken farms.... He's looking at his wallet and then looking at his shopping cart....

......which all affect the price of what's in his shopping cart and what comes out of his wallet.

Again...messaging and relating to the average consumer...........

If diesel prices continue down, grocery prices will follow---I believe. If he rescinds Biden's attacks on the fertilizer industry, that will have a tremendous effect.

When Reagan took office after the inflationary times of Jimmy Carter, I think it took about 4 years before prices started to come back down.

Probably the best thing Trump can do is stop the war on fossil fuels to help inflation out.

As for the spending that feeds inflation, neither party is able to curb that it seems.

They've been coming down for months.

Also, tRump cannot order anyone to lower prices.

Capitalism, remember?

When gasoline and diesel prices start to go down, then the costs to ship along with more money in the workers hands will go farther. Estimate around $5,000 a year in savings just on fuel costs.

When you start cutting the government teets, soon there arent too many sucking off them. That means taxes will go down, more people will be working in the private sector and thus inflation goes down, the more people make the dollar stronger.

Yes they have improved very mildly...still pretty obnoxious though.

Govt must be cut in mass and end the spending spree of corrupt Washington. Or the DOLLAR WILL COLLAPSE at some point.

It cannot be done in half measures.

Yes that's a sneaky one.... That will take one full growing season.... If he starts immediately in January he might just see some results by the end of August.

Another one cheering the collapse of the economy.

Its not a problem that can ever be solved quickly. Cheap fuel prices effects all industries and their combined costs. thats a start but there is still inertia in the opposite direction. The economy is like train.. cant instantly change direction

Not this time.

Nobody has put Elon Musk in charge of the budget before.

Then you have to market proof your money....The market hates lower prices and people working.

It's all a matter of lowering energy prices by DRILL BABY DRILL!

That will lower the cost of everything. Everything in a can or jar must be boiled...think how much energy that takes...or just to create the can or jar.

Think of how much energy it takes to make a hammer or saw blade.

Lower the cost of energy & the cost of EVERYTHING comes down!

Then the regulations need to go (within reason).
