In today time it is wrong to use the word no matter black, white, brown or the green alien that sing from my ass at night. I can understand the outrage and it show the stupidity of the fans even in today time. I know for you it matter not but for a white person like myself I find it wrong and being a drunk rude asshole does not give you the right to verbally assault someone with a racial slur.

Now excuse me while I scream at some minorities and use all the racial slurs I know and boy the list is long because my Jewish Grandfather was more racist than the Klan that wanted to lynch his Putz of a Ass!

Baltimore's Jones to slur-hurling Sox fan: 'Square up. Let's fight'

Fans at Fenway Park stood and applauded Orioles center fielder Adam Jones Tuesday, a day after Jones said he was taunted with racial slurs during Baltimore's game against the Boston Red Sox.



Jones, who is black, said someone in the crowd threw a bag of peanuts at him Monday night. The five-time All-Star said he was "called the N-word a handful of times," according to USA Today Sports and The Boston Globe.

"I heard the N-word. I get certain reactions when someone says something clever or says something really stupid and ignorant, and last night it wasn't something clever," Jones said while speaking to the media Tuesday.

Jones said he knew not all of the Red Sox fan base behaved in the manner he described.

"They're very competitive as a fan base," Jones said. "Things like this don't have a place in the game. I thought we moved passed that."

When asked about what he would tell the people who were taunting him with racial slurs, Jones said the following: "Square up. Let's fight and get it over with."


Jones said he has been the subject of racist heckling in Boston's ballpark before, but this was one of the worst cases of fan abuse he has heard in his 12-year career, according to USA Today Sports.

"It's unfortunate that people need to resort to those type of epithets to degrade another human being," Jones said.

USA Today Sports reported that Red Sox officials confirmed that a fan threw a bag of peanuts at Jones and was ejected from the stadium.

"It's pathetic," Jones said. "It's called a coward. What they need to do is that instead of kicking them out of the stadium, they need to fine them 10 grand, 20 grand, 30 grand. Something that really hurts somebody.
