Not a bad idea AFTER the shutdown ends because that isn't a private sector job. That's something a government will have to pay for, but I FULLY support this. If they want to eat, and a place to sleep, we need to require a full day's work from them

Maybe this will become a “teachable moment”: Anyone who is willing to sweep leaves, pick up garbage from the curbs, clean the rest rooms at bus stations, help serve at homeless shelters, etc., etc. for two hours will get a $50 food voucher. Put in four hours, and get $100.

Who knows? They might catch on that when you work….you eat.
