Just breaking. An appeal was made and a judge decided Jussie Smollett should get
released.Posting a mere $ 150,ooo personal Bond.Due to concerns his physical
health may have been at risk.Smollett was heard raising his fist in protest and
yelling out he's " Not suicidal " after being sentenced to 150 days.

Not clear as to whether the pending appeals process means that
Smollett could indeed be made to complete his 150 day sentence
minus less than a week already served.

He's not used to that rough convict sex. Sure, delay the inevitable nonstop gang rapes a few more months... then it's no holes barred again..... :laughing0301: :laughing0301:

Mr. Smollett was is a single man psych cell with padded walls and a corrections officer assigned to keep an eye on him 24/7.

He was probably creating too big of a disruption to the hacks.

There was a time When the Cook County Jail was The most feared
jail in all the U.S. Making any scene from the Clint Eastwood movie
- Escape From Alcatraz - { 1979 } and - The Shawshank Redemption - {1994}
seem like kids play.I remember reading about a Big mean Thug called Red.
Who was raping at will and too big to confront.
At the infamous Cook County Jail.

This doesn't bother me because IMO justice has already been served. In the "court of public opinion" this guy is a running joke. In many ways I feel sorry for him--his flagrant mental health issues are on display for everyone to see, and his family seems to just enable him rather than getting him the help he clearly needs.

A microcosm of what is wrong with our criminal justice system. This flaming idiot gets convicted, sentenced, and now is free? Because of what?

More than likely because the appeals process will take longer than the sentence. So if he wins his appeal he would have served "unwarranted" time.

Probably that's what the hand picked appeals judge used for a reason.

Smollett released????

That must be a joke! you can't be serious!!o_O
It’s true but it is pending outcome of his appeal. Which means he will most likely have to go right back in kicking and screaming.
Maybe the original judge will look at his behavior and throw in a little prison time when he has to report back to that court.
