Smallville seasons one through four the best.

fortunately elisebutterfly i found another VERY important scene of the pilot episode.the scene at the end when the hulk crys out kinda reminds me of the play beauty and the beast.LOL

you can see WHY i give the pilot episode along with the bad hulk one four stars.

See that scene was to slow for me. Bixby should have placed his arm in the fire to turn quickly. He took too long to get in and get her too. Lol

The explosions for the time were outstanding. They were never ending and added to the drama. The scene with her dying was quite tender. His pain was intense. If I were writing it, I would have played a few episodes and then had a flashback of her death maybe in the 3rd or fourth episode.

I didn’t watch beauty and the beast, not even the cartoon. I guess I could relate it to the hunchback of notre dame.

Like you said that other hulk was a menace, bullied or not bullied. He looked downright mean and scary, as you noted. With power like that, he would never want to give it up, but like a rabid dog the show needed to put him down.

You have to be invested in a character to cry with them. It tells me you pay close attention to what you are watching and focus on what their goal is. It isn’t that bixby was a failure, it was out of his control being a hulk and losing the cure. One understands his plight and his resolve. You have great empathy and I knew that because of your dog and the way you viewed Clark.

banner was smart,when he asked that lady to move away from the vile and he got closer to the vile where she was because he KNEW that if he asked HER to grab the vile,that the evil hulk would have shoved HER against the wall as he did with david,david was hurt bad enough from him shoving him grabbing his ribs in pain so he would have hurt HER ever MUCH worse.he knew that.

so i assume you DID notice those times the evil hulk hulked out he had a BIG grin on his face and could tell he ENJOYED it right? you DID notice that right?

he craved power and enjoyed it, he was a bad person. it was not just the pilot episode but ALL the time in ALL episodes,when they showed closeups of DAVID becoming the hulk,HE always had a scared look on his face and TRIED to fight it all the time.

oh and unlike that old dude who had no remorse about killing people,david had such a conscience that in this one episode they made,a newspaper printed a story that david as the hulk killed somebody and david started CRYING about it and was going to committ suicide because of that only stopping when he found out later the newspaper was WRONG and david did NOT kill the person that he threw around.

yeah ALL the people in that town were evil people other than the old lady and the sherrif. those two boys obviously hurt cats and dogs when they were little the fact they took a baseball bat to banner.

that group of men that hung out with the guy that punched the old man obviously did that as well when they were little,they were EVIL people,WORSE than the old man,bullying him for years as they did,that guy that hit the old man he got what he deserved when the evil hulk killed him.the others deserved to die as well. as i said before,its a screwed up world where CRIMINALS like that are allowed to walk the streets and bully an old man like him. they belong behind bars.

you know,i hate to say this but if I MYSELF had been that old dude who was bad,i think i probably would have done the same thing he did and made MYSELF into the hulk as he did as well,not for the selfish reason of arthitis as he did BUT for the reason of wanting some payback for the guy that had bullied me for years same as he did.

I don’t think you are alone. I bet most people would have used their powers agains a constant bully. Maybe destroying their car or holding them in the air would be enough to deter such behavior, but like Frankenstein, people would have hunted him down and lynched him.

Revenge comes in many forms. I think trump is the perfect example of being bullied, defamed, dethroned, and treasonabley manipulated. He has every right to get his revenge.

Group think especially in high school is dangerous. Once the pecking order begins, large crowds adopt the agenda. It’s a shame.
