The operator accidentally put the lift into reverse which caused it to malfunction.

The lift operator should certainly have a stop button. I`ve been skiing for over 50 years but I`ve never seen anything like that. They must not have any of those burdensome regulations that Ron Reagan whined about. They have real freedumb.

Doesn't work that way.....The rollback mechanism was either malfunctioning or disabled.

Looks like Doppelmayr; a very reputable manufacturer....Not their fault the rollback mechanism wasn't maintained.
