Since the 2018 Midterms, the Republicans Have Gained in Every Group

I voted for Obama in 2008 dumb ass.
Yup. Me too. Then, when I watched him break every promise, and turn the country even more opaque than Bush ever dreamed about, that woke me up.

The mid terms are not going to be what you guys think. Millions are protesting Republicans and their policies; the turnout is going to be anti Republican and large. I would put down the current narrative if I were you.
.

"Millions are protesting".

Despite this, Trump's approval is not good right now, but the approval of the Democratic Party is even worse. Barring something catastrophic in Trump world, it's going to be an interesting midterm election. Neither Trump nor his opponents are all that popular with the people. It will come down to turn out.

I’ll give it to them, the Trump/MAGA propaganda machine is effective. They’ve convinced a lot of people that Zelensky is a dictator and Russia is under attack. Many also say this is a Christian country, but feeding the hungry and housing the poor is “woke”!

Democrats are in a real pickle. They can't win without progressives and they can't win with progressives.

But Democrats are incredibly more motivated to vote in the midterms than Republicans are at this point in time. I don't have the link for it now, but what I saw the other day said Republicans have 50% enthusiasm for voting and Democrats have 74%.

I read an article recently about the upcoming midterms and it said that all kinds of different results and polls show a very befuddled mess for the midterms. In other words, the party not in power usually makes gains in the midterms but this time around there is so much conflicting information right now that it can't be figured out. That can't be good news for the dems.

I agree. They've been all over the place. My opinion is that the Republicans will lose the House, but hold the Senate.

Oh, they can a bundle. Just short a majority in the House. Only 1.5% less than Trump last time.

So the issue is to make that small jump.

How that is handled in the primaries and elections next year will be the test.

Trump's blundering negates his successes.
